Experiential learning opportunities are offered through Stern's Office of Student Engagement. Stern Consulting Corps allows students to be mentored by alumni from top consulting firms. Another mentoring program, the Industry Mentoring Initiative, gives helps students make a career change by giving them extensive exposure to a certain industry. Students can gain non-profit experience through the Board Fellows Program, nine-month fellowships involving a strategic project for the board of a New York City non-profit. The Social Impact Internship Fund allows first-year students to intern at non-profit organizations and for-profit social enterprises.
Most of NYU Stern's MBA students --2,106 to be exact -- are enrolled in the part-time MBA program. The part-time student GPA ranges between 2.9-3.8 and the GMAT score ranges between 620-730. 34% of students are female and 23% are minorities.
Stern's global alumni community is made up of over 100,000 people in 100 countries. Over 500 Stern alumni are CEOs.
MBA Programs
Full-Time MBA Program
Each full-time MBA class is divided into 6 blocks of 60 to 70 students that are further divided into core course study groups of five to six people. There are only two required core courses as well as a menu core, allowing students to take electives as early as their first year.
Part-Time MBA Program
Classes meet on Monday-Thursday night as well as Saturdays during spring, fall, and summer. International intensives allow part-time students to study abroad for class credit.
Westchester Part-Time MBA Program
The NYU Stern Westchester MBA program offers NYU MBA classes on the campus of SUNY Purchase. Students can take electives at NYU Stern in New York.
Executive MBA Program
Stern's Executive MBA Program includes a general management curriculum, two global study tours and a broad choice of electives. Classes meet every Friday and Saturday -- only two classes are offered at a time. The average student has 14 years of work experience and 9 years of management experience.
TRIUM Global Executive MBA
Offered in conjunction with the London School of Economics and Social Sciences, and HEC Paris, the TRIUM Global Executive MBA is designed to teach entrepreneurial-minded senior-level executives how to think and act within a socioeconomic and geopolitical context. This 17-month program includes 10 weeks out of the office.
