University of Wyoming College of Business
The mission of the University of Wyoming College of Business is to prepare students for careers by providing quality education in business disciplines, creating and disseminating knowledge, and assisting in Wyoming's economic development. The University of Wyoming's MBA programs focus on improving business decision-making skills, building managerial skills and cultivating interpersonal skills.
Full-time MBA students begin their program with a teambuilding exercise. The full-time MBA program includes an International Business course with a global experience -- in 2011, University of Wyoming Students went to Germany. Fridays are dedicated to meeting with executives and visiting regional businesses. In the summer, students participate in experiential learning projects followed by a Capstone Strategy Course in the fall which has sustainability overtones.
The University of Wyoming's 16-month accelerated full-time MBA program includes a hands-on summer consulting project. Classes meet Monday through Thursday. Students have the option of concentrating in Energy Management.
The University of Wyoming's Energy Management MBA program is for those are interested in solving unstructured energy business programs for traditional hydrocarbon energy businesses , the power generation industry, and the alternative energy industry. Topics addressed include extraction & production, processing & conversion, and marketing & delivery.
