YesDistance Learning Program Description
The curriculum and faculty are the same for both the on-campus and distance learning MBA program. The program is divided into six-month semesters, with built-in flexibility for those that need to tailor their program. During each semester, students study three modules, followed by an on-campus Warwick Week. Students have a subject tutor for each module, who facilitates online classroom sessions with a number of students and moderate online discussions. After 13 modules, students then complete a final project & dissertation. Students can also take face-to-face 5-day modules with classes of Executive MBA and Full-time MBA students. The WBS intranet, my.wbs, provides access to libraries, study skills support and careers information, and also enables communication with WBS, tutors and the whole Warwick MBA community. Each course module involves at least real-time two seminars in Warwick’s virtual classroom wbsLive. Recordings are available for students who can’t make the seminars. Helpdesk support is available through email, phone, and Twitter. Learning methods include traditional textbooks, "e-learning" and, online collaboration. 63% of distance learners are from outside the UK. The student completion rate is 80%.
