Are you a startup entrepreneur looking for office space and technology to grow your company? Pitney Bowes just launched a new entrepreneurial competition for new and existing startups who work with location intelligence, as well as Pitney Bowes' Secure Evidencing and Connect+ platforms. Read on more information on the prizes and how to enter.

The Pitney Bowes Entrepreneurial Competition is designed to demonstrate how startup companies can grow using Pitney Bowes technology including: Spectrum spatial analytics and location intelligence, the pbSecure secure evidencing platform, and the Connect+ Internet-enabled digital envelope and mail printing system. There are three competition areas based on important areas of Customer Communications Management:

  • Location Intelligence - For startups involving location-based services, social/local and mobile, location-based marketing, and context aware computing. Winners get to use Pitney Bowes' technology platforms and data sets to help them develop their product or business.

  • Secure Evidencing Platform - For startups that use sensors and detection devices.

  • Connect+ - For startups that have ideas about how to use Connect+ to improve their mail marketing efforts

You can apply for more than one competition area, but will need to enter separate applications for each area.

Winners will receive free office space at Pitney Bowes Headquarters in Stamford Connecticut, access to Pitney Bowes' technology and business expertise, and mentoring and coaching services from the Stanford Innovation Center.

In order to enter the contest, you must first fill out a registration form. You will need to answer nine questions about your business including the technology you use, who is on your team, and what marketing methods you use. Submissions that do not mention a competition area or include confidential/proprietary information will not be considered. You will be judged based on the business potential of your idea, the solidity of your business model, the use of Pitney Bowes technology, and the capabilities of the principal players.

A more detailed overview of the Pitney Bowes Entrepreneurial Competition can be found in this PDF document. Entries are due on September 7, so begin working on your submissions now.
